Peaceful Pit Bull

In an upper level Art Direction course, I was asked to create a mock campaign to promote awareness for a peaceful movement. I was required to use my own photography in order to create a campaign that was simple, yet thought provoking. After thorough research, I decided to concentrate on the movement to stop the use of Pit Bulls in dog fighting rings.
One of my deliverables was to utilize the highest trafficked social channels in an effort to reach my target market. Therefore, I chose Facebook, as my goal was to reach dog lovers ages 18-35. I created a mock Facebook page that would bring awareness to the “Peaceful Pit Bull” campaign with creative posts to adopt rescue dogs as well as educate individuals about the breed. Through the Facebook page I would also show how the Pit Bull bread is both loving and caring.
To reach my target audience from other social channels, I created a mock Instagram page to show how the Pit Bull bread is no different from any other breed as they can be great house dogs. On Instagram the target audience could tag fun-loving photos of their Pit Bulls by using the #peacefulpitbull. This would raise campaign awareness.
I created a poster to reach the target audience out of home. I thought it would be best to utilize the poster on dog paths and in dog walking parks to bring awareness to the Peaceful Pit Bull campaign in an environment where many pet owners can be found.
